The Kitchen Supervisor position at OVG is a pivotal role focused on delivering high-quality food and beverage services to guests in premium locations, suites, and concessions. This role involves supervising a team of 5-10 kitchen employees during game day shifts or events. The Kitchen Supervisor ensures adherence to OVG's standard recipes while managing overall food production. A critical aspect of this job is to train kitchen staff on proper procedures, thereby maintaining consistent quality and operational efficiency.

Moreover, the Kitchen Supervisor plays a strategic role in managing food preparation workflows, food cost controls, event planning support, staff scheduling, and ensuring compliance with all food safety and sanitation policies. They are also responsible for inventory management—ordering and overseeing food supplies on daily, weekly, and monthly bases—to maximize resource efficiency and reduce waste. This position does require excellent attendance and availability to work during scheduled events, emphasizing the importance of reliability in driving business success.

Job Qualifications

  • Professional training through culinary education or experience in a fast-paced fine dining restaurant or catering facility
  • previous kitchen supervisory experience
  • ability to supervise kitchen staff effectively
  • proficiency in operating standard kitchen equipment including broiler, steamer, convection oven, mixer, meat slicer, and chef's knife
  • excellent communication skills to interact respectfully with employees, management, and guests
  • ability to work well in a team-oriented and fast-paced event-driven environment
  • valid food handling certificate if required by law
  • demonstrated excellent attendance

Job Duties

  • Coordinate and supervise the work of kitchen staff
  • display knowledge of culinary preparation skills and teach proper preparation and food presentation
  • assist in controlling food and labor costs
  • conduct regular inspections of all food locations for cleanliness and maintenance
  • assist with monthly inventory management
  • provide high-quality fresh food products in a timely manner for guest delivery
  • prepare hot and cold foods following company recipes and portion requirements
