The Kitchen Supervisor position at Oak View Group is an integral role that contributes to the success and profitability of events held at these premier venues. This role involves overseeing food preparation and ensuring that all food and beverages served to guests meet OVG’s high standards for quality, presentation, and safety. The Kitchen Supervisor leads a team of 5 to 10 kitchen employees during shifts, primarily focusing on premium locations, suites, and concessions. This leadership role requires not only excellent culinary skills but also strong management capabilities to maintain operational efficiency.

The Kitchen Supervisor’s responsibilities include training kitchen staff on company policies, standard recipes, and food safety protocols. In addition, the supervisor manages food cost control, inventory ordering, and stock management on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to optimize food usage and minimize waste. Ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards is pivotal to this role, guaranteeing the health and well-being of guests and employees alike.

Job Requirements

  • Professional training through culinary education or equivalent experience
  • Previous supervisory experience in kitchen operation
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment including broiler, steamer, convection oven, mixer, meat slicer, and chef's knife
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid food handling certificate if required by law
  • Reliable attendance and flexibility to work scheduled events

Job Duties
