Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Safe Food Handling Certification
  • 2-5 years cooking experience in culinary leadership role preferred
  • Ability to lift 25-50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to work flexible schedules in a 24/7 operation
  • Ability to work in hot conditions
  • Must clear background screening

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Safe Food Handling Certification
  • 2-5 years cooking experience in culinary leadership preferred
  • Formal culinary training or associate degree preferred
  • Experience in hotel environment preferred
  • Strong cooking knowledge and leadership abilities
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and computer skills
  • Ability to calculate figures and perform mathematical functions

Job Duties

  • Assist with the preparation and planning of meal designs
  • Resolve customer problems and concerns personally
  • Ensure food stock levels within the culinary department are sufficient in quantity and quality
  • Provide support to junior kitchen employees including line cooking, food preparation, and plating
  • Develop new menu options based on seasonal changes and customer demand
  • Recruit and train new kitchen employees to meet standards
  • Create schedules for kitchen employees and evaluate performance
  • Adhere to and implement sanitation and safety regulations
  • Manage the kitchen team in the executive chef's absence
  • Monitor financial budgets and goals
  • Ensure high standard of associate meals and dining services
  • Collaborate with Food and Beverage Manager to create yearly marketing plans
  • Ensure safe use, cleaning, and maintenance of food preparation equipment
