Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Safe Food Handling Certification
- 2-5 years cooking experience in culinary leadership role preferred
- Ability to lift 25-50 pounds
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to work flexible schedules in a 24/7 operation
- Ability to work in hot conditions
- Must clear background screening
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Safe Food Handling Certification
- 2-5 years cooking experience in culinary leadership preferred
- Formal culinary training or associate degree preferred
- Experience in hotel environment preferred
- Strong cooking knowledge and leadership abilities
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and computer skills
- Ability to calculate figures and perform mathematical functions
Job Duties
- Assist with the preparation and planning of meal designs
- Resolve customer problems and concerns personally
- Ensure food stock levels within the culinary department are sufficient in quantity and quality
- Provide support to junior kitchen employees including line cooking, food preparation, and plating
- Develop new menu options based on seasonal changes and customer demand
- Recruit and train new kitchen employees to meet standards
- Create schedules for kitchen employees and evaluate performance
- Adhere to and implement sanitation and safety regulations
- Manage the kitchen team in the executive chef's absence
- Monitor financial budgets and goals
- Ensure high standard of associate meals and dining services
- Collaborate with Food and Beverage Manager to create yearly marketing plans
- Ensure safe use, cleaning, and maintenance of food preparation equipment
