Job Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum two years experience in a busy kitchen setting
  • proven leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • current Serve Safe or California Food Handlers Certification required
  • ability to communicate effectively in English
  • capable of standing for long shifts and lifting up to 75 pounds
  • proficient in basic arithmetic for cost control
  • strong knowledge of kitchen safety and food handling protocols
  • ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • must demonstrate excellent organizational and time management skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • two plus years experience in a high volume kitchen environment
  • pizza preparation experience a plus
  • prior supervisory experience highly desired
  • Serve Safe or California Food Handlers Certification
  • proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding the primary workplace language
  • bilingual skills considered a plus
  • commitment to excellence and maintaining high standards

Job Duties

  • Prepares and preps food orders actively during shifts
  • ensures recipes are followed and portion control standards are met
  • coordinates and supervises kitchen staff effectively
  • escalates issues to the Kitchen Manager, FOH Supervisor, General Manager, or HR as appropriate
  • ensures completion of all side work before staff leave
  • manages shift changes and monitors staff breaks
  • acts as back-up to place orders in the absence of the Kitchen Manager
  • leads kitchen shift meetings
  • performs all other duties as assigned
