Job Description

Our company is a distinguished hospitality establishment committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences through outstanding service and culinary excellence. As a prominent player in the hospitality industry, we uphold core values that emphasize people as our greatest capability, hearts that serve, an unwavering commitment to excellence, agility in operations, and ownership of responsibilities. We foster an environment where teamwork, respect, and sustainability are prioritized to create memorable dining experiences for our guests. With an emphasis on sustainability, we actively implement innovative practices through programs like our EarthView initiative to minimize environmental impact while maintaining the highest quality standards in food production and service.

The role offered is a Kitchen Supervisor position, providing a highly rewarding opportunity in the culinary management field, with compensation up to $24.00 per hour. This full-time role plays a vital part in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring that set-up, food production, and service are performed efficiently while upholding all established guest service, quality, and sustainability standards. The Kitchen Supervisor acts as a key leader by supervising associates, coordinating workflow, and maintaining cleanliness and safety within the kitchen environment.

This position offers a clear potential career progression starting from Kitchen Supervisor to Kitchen Manager, then advancing to Sous Chef and eventually Head Chef. The supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, selecting, scheduling, coaching, and supporting kitchen associates to align their performance with brand and hotel standards and core company values. Additionally, the supervisor has accountability for reviewing daily use records, ensuring compliance with production estimates, managing inventory use including leftovers, and preparing daily production charts to optimize kitchen operations.

The role also involves rigorous adherence to housekeeping practices such as enforcing the 'clean as you go' policy and completing daily cleaning checklists. The Kitchen Supervisor plays an active role in safety management by practicing safe work habits, wearing necessary protective equipment, and complying with OSHA and MSDS standards to maintain a safe working environment for all kitchen staff. Participation in associate meetings provides an avenue for addressing staff concerns while promoting solutions that enhance team dynamics and productivity.

The work environment requires flexibility with variable work schedules including holidays and weekends, and physical demands such as extended periods of standing, walking, pushing, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching. Candidates suited for this role are those who are passionate about culinary leadership, possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and are motivated by continuous improvement within a dynamic kitchen setting. This position is ideal for individuals looking to advance their culinary career while contributing to an organization that values sustainability, excellence, and people-focused leadership.
