Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 2 years of experience in kitchen or food preparation role
  • ability to work flexible schedule including nights weekends and holidays
  • physical capability to stand for long periods lift up to 50 pounds and work around hot kitchen equipment
  • strong organizational and leadership skills
  • excellent communication skills
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • 2+ years in a kitchen or food preparation role
  • previous supervisory experience is a plus
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • culinary training or certification is preferred
  • strong knowledge of kitchen operations food preparation and safety
  • excellent organizational communication and leadership skills
  • ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • proficiency with kitchen equipment and food safety protocols

Job Duties

  • oversee day-to-day kitchen operations including meal preparation and presentation
  • ensure food quality portion control and plating consistency
  • assist with kitchen scheduling ensuring adequate staffing levels for peak hours
  • train supervise and motivate kitchen staff to perform at their best
  • conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback
  • address any personnel issues promptly and professionally
  • inspect food storage preparation and presentation for quality and safety
  • ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • monitor inventory and assist with ordering and stock rotation
  • ensure all kitchen staff follow health and safety guidelines
  • conduct routine checks to maintain sanitation and cleanliness
  • adhere to health department regulations and company policies
  • maintain and monitor stock levels conducting weekly inventory checks
  • assist in ordering supplies and maintaining inventory records
  • help manage food costs and reduce waste through efficient practices
  • work with front-of-house staff to handle guest complaints or requests
  • strive to meet guest expectations through high food and service standards
