Job Requirements

  • Must have prior experience as a kitchen supervisor, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting
  • excellent attention to detail
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • ability to train and motivate team members effectively
  • possession of property safety certifications
  • experience working with inventory and food costs
  • required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle/feel/work with objects and tools
  • able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • able to adeptly smell and taste food and beverages to judge quality
  • adherence to Makeready and property policies and procedures as defined

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a kitchen supervisor preferred, ideally in a hotel or restaurant setting

Job Duties

  • Oversee opening and closing of kitchen
  • supervise kitchen staff and coordinate daily tasks to ensure efficient kitchen operations
  • provide training and support to kitchen staff, promoting skill development and teamwork
  • assist in the development and testing of new recipes, ensuring consistency and quality in food preparation
  • monitor food quality and presentation, ensuring compliance with established standards
  • assist in managing inventory and ordering kitchen supplies, ensuring all necessary ingredients are on hand
  • ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations in the kitchen
  • adhere to Makeready's Guiding Principles
  • perform additional duties and assignments as assigned
