This role not only contributes to the operational success of the kitchen but also supports the overarching mission of TSA by helping provide a nurturing environment conducive to recovery and growth.

The Kitchen Supervisor will be responsible for scheduling kitchen workload to ensure timely meal preparation, serving, and cleanup. They will oversee and train kitchen staff and beneficiaries on proper cooking techniques, kitchen sanitation, and safety procedures. This role demands a knowledgeable leader who can enforce personnel policies, promote safety measures, and work collaboratively with administrative staff for menu planning and special events. The work environment involves physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in high heat conditions, reflecting the hands-on nature of this supervisory role.

Employment at the Salvation Army ARC is a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a cause that transforms lives while gaining valuable experience in institutional kitchen management. The position offers a pay rate of $17.50 per hour and may involve some overtime as approved by the Center Administrator.
