Job Description

This property is a part of the Echelon Luxury & Lifestyle division of HHM Hotels, an established and respected leader in the hospitality industry committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences. HHM Hotels takes pride in a culture that embodies their core values: People Are Our Capability, Hearts That Serve, Only Excellence, Stay Nimble, and Own It. With a focus on luxury and lifestyle, the company has built a reputation for providing top-notch services in elegant settings, blending comfort and sophistication for all its guests. HHM Hotels is also a proud equal-opportunity employer, ensuring a diverse and inclusive workplace free from discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, or any other protected status by law.

The Kitchen Supervisor role is a vital position within this luxury hospitality environment, emphasizing leadership, operational excellence, and adherence to high standards of food quality and service. The successful candidate will oversee the set-up and food production areas in the kitchen, maximizing productivity while ensuring compliance with guest service and sustainability standards. This supervisory role involves managing kitchen associates by interviewing, selecting, training, scheduling, coaching, and supporting them to perform in line with brand or hotel standards and HHM core values. The Kitchen Supervisor will also be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and housekeeping within the kitchen, supervising proper food handling, and ensuring all stations are well-prepared for meal services including breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

A key aspect of the job includes collaborating with the Executive Chef or Sous Chef to inspect daily use records, verify estimates, and ensure food leftovers are utilized effectively to minimize waste in alignment with sustainability practices. The role also requires consistent enforcement of safety protocols, including wearing protective equipment and adhering to OSHA and MSDS standards, ensuring a safe working environment for all kitchen staff.

Career advancement opportunities are clearly defined, with potential progression from Kitchen Supervisor to Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or even Head Chef, offering a pathway for professional growth within HHM Hotels' culinary team. This position demands flexibility in work hours, as schedules may vary and include holidays and weekends, along with the physical capability to stand for extended periods, walk, push, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform other physical activities common in kitchen environments.

Overall, this role is well suited for individuals who are passionate about culinary leadership, committed to excellence, and looking to work within a dynamic, high-quality hotel kitchen environment that values sustainability, safety, and its people. The Kitchen Supervisor at HHM Hotels will be an integral part of a team dedicated to delivering the highest quality culinary experiences, with a focus on development and operational precision.
