Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in kitchen stewarding or dishwashing a plus
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to follow food safety and HACCP protocols
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Must have valid SNHD food handling card

Job Duties
- Assist in inventory management which includes restocking supplies when necessary
- Dispose of waste in accordance with waste management procedure
- Clean all pots and pans along with cleaning and maintaining kitchens and stewarding
- Follow and maintain knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
- Clean kitchen equipment and practice all HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) procedures
- Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes and wash them by hand or place them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation
- Wash pots pans and trays based on assigned procedures
- Polish silverware using burnishing machine tumbler chemical dip buffing wheel and hand cloth depending on assigned equipment
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures
- Maintain temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards
- Keep dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards
- Wash worktables walls refrigerators meat blocks and other food prep surfaces
- Remove trash and place it in designated containers
- Steam clean or hose out garbage cans
- Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
- Help load and unload supplies and product
- Perform other duties as assigned
