This role is a full-time, non-management position located at 1777 Walker St, Houston, Texas, within the Food and Beverage & Culinary category. The position primarily involves maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas and related spaces to ensure a hygienic environment that meets company quality standards. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining cleaning equipment such as dishwashers, hand-washing stations, pot scrubbers, and trash compactors. The employee will wash and disinfect kitchen and storage areas, tables, utensils, knives, and equipment. Additional duties include receiving and properly storing perishable goods, rotating inventory, and ensuring clean dishes are stored appropriately. The role requires the use of cleaning chemicals in a triple-compartment sink to wash dishware, inspecting and sorting clean and dirty items, and handling waste disposal and recycling.
Physical demands include lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds, standing or walking for extended periods, and performing tasks requiring bending, twisting, and reaching. The employee will follow all company safety policies and report any accidents or unsafe conditions. Effective communication and teamwork are essential to support the team's common goals and maintain high-quality standards. Job Duties
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment including dishwashers and waste compactors
- wash and disinfect kitchen and storage areas, tables, utensils, knives, and equipment
- receive deliveries and properly store perishable goods while rotating inventory
- use cleaning chemicals to wash dishware in triple-compartment sinks
- inspect, sort, and stack clean articles and return dirty items for re-washing
- empty trash bins and maintain waste disposal areas
- clean and mop assigned department areas
