Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Availability for flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift, push, or pull items up to 50 pounds
- Experience or willingness to learn safe handling of cleaning chemicals and kitchen equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Good communication skills and ability to report issues accurately
- Physical capability to work in high-heat, high-humidity environment
Job Qualifications
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Previous experience in a stewarding, housekeeping, or cleaning role preferred but not required
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, safe handling practices, sanitation standards, and proper equipment use
- Ability to follow safety procedures in a kitchen environment
- Dependable and detail-oriented with a positive attitude
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions throughout shifts
Job Duties
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment by washing, sanitizing, and properly storing dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment according to hotel standards
- Operate dishwashing machines safely and efficiently while using cleaning chemicals responsibly
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, counters, and storage areas to ensure a safe and organized workspace
- Collect and dispose of kitchen waste in a hygienic manner and report any broken equipment, maintenance concerns, or safety hazards to leadership
- Support restaurant and banquet operations by ensuring an adequate supply of clean service ware during service
- Assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks to help keep the kitchen running smoothly
- Follow safety and sanitation guidelines consistently to maintain compliance with health regulations
