Job Requirements
- high school diploma or ged preferred
- up to one-month related experience, training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
- ability to write simple correspondence
- ability to perform basic math operations
- ability to apply commonsense understanding to detailed instructions
- physical ability to stand, walk, squat, climb, kneel, crawl, lift up to 25 pounds frequently, and occasionally exert over 60 pounds
- good vision including depth perception and color vision
- ability to safely operate kitchen equipment with required certifications
- commitment to follow safety procedures and food safety regulations
- reliability to notify supervisors in advance in case of absence
- willingness to participate in safety programs and training
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- prepare breakfast and/or lunch offerings
- assist with serving lines
- participate in occasional catering functions
- perform all positions within the kitchen
- assist with the set-up of serving lines daily and ensure all food is held at required temperatures
- stock and prepare milk coolers
- prepare foods according to menu plans and recipes
- plan and prep ahead for next day menus
- operate certified kitchen equipment including slicers, mixers, grinders
- maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
- clean kitchen and cafeteria including equipment and dishes
- manage inventory following First In/First Out procedures
- clean and maintain dishwashing equipment and chemical monitoring
- requisition appropriate food and supplies through Kitchen Manager
- prepare baked goods and present appealingly
- batch cook to maintain quality and presentation
- set up and restock serving lines and bar lines
- serve items with proper portions and utensils maintaining quality and hospitality
- keep serving lines and condiments fully supplied
- prepare foods in strict compliance with standardized recipes and regulations
- recognize reimbursable meals per HHFKA and CACFP standards
- maintain accurate daily production records
- follow HACCP food safety procedures and logs
- report unsafe conditions and participate in safety programs
- complete required annual training and attend meetings
- handle customer transactions and POS systems restricting sales to reimbursable meals
- complete daily paperwork including tray counts and meal reconciliations
- submit hours worked using ADP or edit sheets
- notify supervisors of absence timely
- perform additional duties as assigned
