Although the franchisee operates under the McDonald's brand, it is a separate company from McDonald's USA and is solely responsible for all employment decisions and matters. The franchisee manages aspects such as hiring, firing, scheduling, and discipline without involvement or control from McDonald's USA. This distinction is important for applicants to understand as their employment contract and communication will be exclusively with the franchisee, not McDonald's corporate entity.
