Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in kitchen or restaurant management
  • Knowledge of safe food handling procedures
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Effective communication skills with team members and management

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in kitchen management or similar culinary leadership role
  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively
  • Knowledge of inventory control, food cost management, and scheduling
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to conduct training and performance evaluations
  • Commitment to providing high-quality customer service
  • Familiarity with restaurant operations and employment policies

Job Duties

  • Supervising and overseeing the production and preparation of food in a manner consistent with established recipes and procedures
  • Enforcing compliance with all employment policies and overseeing cleanliness and safety of the restaurant
  • Monitoring and maintaining efficient and effective food item ticket times
  • Managing performance of Back of House employees including conducting evaluations, coaching, and discipline
  • Assisting in the development of employees through daily feedback during one-on-ones
  • Conducting formal line Taste & Temp checks for inventory and safety
  • Overseeing proper handling, maintenance, and storage of all food items
  • Managing food costs, tracking waste, and controlling kitchen labor costs
  • Scheduling and directing work for Back of House employees
  • Training employees on equipment maintenance and cleaning procedures
  • Participating in hiring processes and creating a safe, fun, and clean work environment
