Aramark is a global leader in food services, facilities management, and uniform services, proudly serving millions of guests every day in 15 countries. Rooted in service and united by a strong purpose, Aramark strives to make a positive impact on its employees, partners, communities, and the planet. The company places a strong emphasis on equal employment opportunity and diversity, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive workplace for all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, gender, pregnancy, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, military status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
Aramark is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef Manager to join its team in the Little Rock area. This role is designed for a culinary professional who is passionate about food, team development, and delivering exceptional customer service. The Chef Manager will report directly to the General Manager and will take a hands-on approach in managing kitchen personnel, overseeing culinary operations, maintaining safety protocols, and ensuring client satisfaction. This position is ideal for a culinary expert who values collaboration, quality control, and operational efficiency within a dynamic food service environment.
In this role, the Chef Manager will be responsible for training and managing kitchen staff, coordinating all culinary activities, estimating food consumption and handling requisition or purchase of food. The Chef Manager will also focus on developing and standardizing recipes to ensure consistent quality, establishing presentation techniques and quality standards, as well as planning and pricing menus. Proper operation and maintenance of kitchen equipment will be under the Chef Manager's supervision alongside enforcing strict safety and sanitation standards. Additional responsibilities include overseeing special catering events and providing culinary instruction or demonstrating culinary techniques to staff.
Aramark values continual professional growth and offers its employees opportunities to develop new skills and advance their careers. In this ever-evolving industry, flexibility is essential, and job duties may change or expand without formal notice to meet the company's commitments effectively. The company fosters an environment where passion, dedication, and a desire to excel are rewarded with growth and learning opportunities, making it an excellent place for culinary professionals to thrive.
The ideal candidate for the Chef Manager position will possess 2-3 years of experience in a related culinary role and 2-3 years of post-high school education or equivalent experience. While a culinary degree is preferred, it is not mandatory. Candidates must have advanced knowledge of professional food service principles and practices, experiential knowledge in managing teams or resolving problems, and strong communication skills including oral, reading, and written abilities. This role requires someone who can combine technical culinary expertise with leadership skills to inspire and guide kitchen personnel towards maintaining high standards and delivering memorable food experiences.
Joining Aramark as a Chef Manager means becoming part of a reputable company committed to service excellence, professional growth, and sustainability. It is a unique opportunity for those who seek a challenging yet supportive environment where their culinary talents and leadership abilities can truly flourish. With a focus on quality, safety, teamwork, and customer satisfaction, this position plays a vital role in Aramark’s ongoing success and its commitment to serving communities and partners with integrity and innovation.
