The Kitchen Operations Coordinator role at Luke's Local is a highly significant position that involves overseeing data management, product labeling, product creation, inventory management, auditing, and reporting functions within the kitchen operations. Reporting directly to the Sous Chef, and closely working alongside the Executive Chef, the Coordinator will be based in the company's commissary located in the Dogpatch district. This position requires a unique blend of culinary insight combined with strong organizational and data management skills. While experience with Google Suite, specifically Sheets and optionally Excel, as well as the LOC Point of Sale system, is advantageous, it is not mandatory since training will be provided. Preferred candidates will come with prior experience in inventory management and data entry, highlighting their attention to detail and ability to keep backend systems running smoothly.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring that all house-made products are properly labeled and accounted for, that food safety logs are maintained, and that inventory documentation is accurate and timely. The Coordinator also supports ordering of supplies, helps facilitate special event platforms like Thanksgiving catering, and occasionally assists with deliveries, requiring a valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a box truck when needed. The role demands someone who is punctual, reliable, organized, and capable of maintaining a high standard of cleanliness while working efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen and commissary environment. Collaborative teamwork and effective communication are essential competencies for the position, alongside positive professionalism and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

To qualify for this role, applicants must hold a ServSafe food handler certification, be at least 18 years old, and comply with COVID-19 vaccination requirements. Physical abilities include lifting up to 50 pounds and enduring the physical demands of standing, bending, and working in refrigerated environments for extended periods. This salaried-exempt position offers a competitive pay range of $23.50 to $27 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package that underscores the company's commitment to its employees' well-being and professional growth.Show Less
