Known for its unique tradition of serving handcut, aged Harris Ranch Beef steaks, Cattlemens is not just a restaurant but a community that values its employees and guests alike. As one of the few steakhouses maintaining this high-quality, old-world steak preparation art, it offers a distinctive dining experience renowned for perfectly cooked steaks and western hospitality. The company maintains an impressive industry low turnover rate, which highlights its reputation as a great place to work. Employees at Cattlemens are part of a supportive and family-like environment, where both their professional development and work-life balance are prioritized.
The Kitchen Manager position at Cattlemens is a unique and rewarding role tailored for individuals who want to grow their skills in culinary arts and management. This role involves mastering the art of handcut steaks and leading a team to deliver exceptional service. A Kitchen Manager at Cattlemens will be the cornerstone of quality and food safety, ensuring that each guest receives an impeccable steak cooked exactly to their preference. Beyond food preparation, this leader will foster a positive, respectful, and efficient work environment, reflecting the core values of western hospitality that Cattlemens stands for. The role offers a salary range of $70,000-$80,000 annually, which varies based on experience and location, alongside bonus opportunities that reward outstanding performance.
The Kitchen Manager will be responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, and mentoring the management team, most of whom have been promoted internally. This career development focus defines the leadership culture at Cattlemens and helps cultivate the next generation of restaurant leaders. Managers will also oversee financial controls including labor, food, meat, and maintenance costs to ensure operational efficiency and profitability. Maintaining rigorous food safety and cleanliness standards is crucial, as is continuously monitoring the quality of food served to guests to guarantee a four-star dining experience.
Cattlemens is also committed to providing ongoing development opportunities, including internal training programs to help team members excel and advance their careers. They offer nationally accredited ServSafe food safety training and certification for all shift leaders and management, underscoring their dedication to high standards in food quality and safety. Employees enjoy a range of benefits including significant meal discounts, access to a company-owned vacation house in Sunriver, Oregon, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid vacation, 401K retirement plans, and a unique employee financial assistance program called Cattlemens Cares.
Working at Cattlemens means joining a fast-paced, fun, and welcoming environment where technology is embraced through tools like TOAST, Ctuit, Rezku, and Microsoft Suite, enabling managers to excel daily in their roles. This role is ideal for a kind, positive leader passionate about food quality, team development, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. If you seek a workplace where you truly matter and your efforts directly impact the guest experience, Cattlemens offers an ideal setting to build a fulfilling culinary management career.
