ARRIVE Albuquerque is a vibrant and beautifully renovated historic boutique hotel located on Central Avenue, the iconic U.S. Route 66, in Downtown Albuquerque. The hotel, originally built in 1965 and opened as Downtowner Motor Inn, now features 137 bright and comfortable rooms that showcase modern southwestern-inspired charm. Guests enjoy luxurious amenities including Bellino Fine Linens, floral upholstered headboards, Grown Alchemist bath products, Marshall Bluetooth speakers, plush robes, and much more, ensuring a memorable and comfortable stay. ARRIVE Albuquerque serves as both a neighborhood hub and a welcoming home away from home for visitors looking to experience the spirit of Albuquerque in style and comfort.
Within the hotel, the DWTNR Cocktail Bar & Lounge offers a unique high/low, East/West dining experience. Here guests can enjoy Pan Asian-American classics alongside Americana comfort food in a stylish but relaxed setting. Seasonal offerings include a poolside paradise perfect for sipping tropical drinks and enjoying light bites under the sun.
The available position of Kitchen Manager at ARRIVE Albuquerque is a vital role responsible for overseeing the efficient and professional daily operations of the hotel’s kitchen. As a key member of the back-of-house team, the Kitchen Manager will work closely with the Corporate Executive Chef to maintain high standards of quality, hygiene, and consistency in food preparation and presentation. This role demands a meticulous and hands-on leader with a deep passion for the culinary arts and hospitality industry.
The ideal candidate will be tasked with developing a motivated and skilled kitchen brigade, ensuring all team members understand and adhere to food preparation standards through continuous training and positive encouragement. A strong commitment to operational excellence is essential, as the Kitchen Manager must monitor stock control, manage compliance with food labeling, storage, and temperature control protocols, and enforce all corporate Standard Operating Procedures as well as local and state labor laws.
In addition to operational responsibilities, the Kitchen Manager will immerse themselves in understanding the entire menu, service steps, products, and systems to effectively train staff and contribute to an outstanding guest experience. Communication and collaboration with restaurant and hotel teams are crucial to fostering a productive and positive work environment.
This position requires a versatile leader who can efficiently handle fast-paced service periods and quieter times with equal competency. A genuine interest in industry trends and a willingness to continuously learn and adapt are highly valued qualities. The Kitchen Manager will also participate in the hotel’s Safety Committee to ensure workplace safety for all staff.
