Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-4 years of experience in kitchen management or similar role
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Willingness to work flexible schedule including nights and weekends

Job Duties

  • Conduct periodic and regular inspections of FOH to observe and ensure standards for quality of food preparation and service, food appearance, cleanliness and sanitation of production and service areas, equipment and employee appearance
  • Inventory control including proper rotation and tracking of stock, ordering daily and weekly inventory
  • Assist with weekly scheduling of employees and oversee proper opening and closing of the restaurant dining room
  • Assist with managing employees including delegating roles and responsibilities, hiring, firing, and corrective action plans
  • Maintain knowledge and skill of each position and fill in or assist if necessary
  • Coordinate and assist in all training activities including identification and analysis of training needs
  • Implement proper food, safety and sanitation regulations
  • Assist in resolving customer complaints
  • Assist in the interviewing and onboarding process of new hires
  • Assist with weekly administrative duties as needed
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned
  • Maintain current knowledge of the food preparation and ingredients for all menu items
  • Answer all questions regarding the menu
  • Operate toast POS software systems and kitchen display screens for order fulfillment
  • Adhere to dietary and allergy items per guest requests
  • Communicate orders effectively to kitchen staff for preparation
  • Properly distribute prepared items from kitchen to guests
  • Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and present issues to management
  • Perform cleaning side work and ensure kitchen cleanliness
  • Comply with sanitation, safety, personal hygiene and health standards
  • Perform closing activities including cleaning equipment and scrubbing floors
  • Complete all service paperwork as required
  • Maintain a clean and neat appearance and comply with dress policy
