Job Requirements
- At least high school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 2 years kitchen manager experience
- 1 year labor scheduling experience
- current alcohol and food certification
- ability to stand for extended periods
- physically able to lift 30-50 pounds
- able to perform duties involving bending, twisting, and repetitive hand and wrist motion
- able to work varied hours including overtime
- familiarity with kitchen equipment safety procedures
- valid driver’s license
Job Qualifications
- College degree preferred
- bachelor of science in hotel or restaurant management desirable
- minimum 2 years experience as a kitchen manager
- experience scheduling and managing labor
- proficient with MS Word and Excel
- knowledge of restaurant functions including food planning, purchasing, sanitation, security, cost accounting, budgeting, and financial strategy
- excellent decision-making skills
- valid driver’s license
- excellent communication skills
Job Duties
- Lead and manage the back of house kitchen team
- ensure cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas
- provide efficient and friendly guest service
- develop and implement training programs for kitchen staff
- manage labor scheduling and control labor costs
- oversee food preparation and quality standards
- handle inventory ordering and storage
- enforce safety and sanitation regulations
- complete administrative tasks including payroll and reporting
- maintain compliance with legal and company standards
