Job Requirements
- Minimum one year of high volume kitchen experience
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
- Capable of bending and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work in fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment
- Familiarity with kitchen safety and sanitation standards
- Preferred bilingual (Spanish) skills
- Basic computer skills preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Duties
- Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards
- Keep the kitchen area clean and safe, monitoring compliance with all regulatory standards
- Maintain responsibility for ordering food products according to set par levels
- Ensure that goods are received accurately and in proper condition
- Control food cost by following proper usage standards and ensuring appropriate quantity of products removed from storage areas
- Follow product storage procedures, standard recipes and waste control procedures including checking and maintaining proper food holding and refrigeration temperature control points
- Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the restaurant’s preventative maintenance programs
- Manage hourly kitchen schedule to meet budgeted labor for kitchen
- With assistance from the GM, recruit, hire, coach and develop kitchen staff
- Jump in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations
