Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Able to pass DOJ FBI live scan criminal background clearance mandated by Community Care Licensing
- Able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Experience in an assisted living environment preferred
- Flexible scheduling, position may include weekends and holidays

Job Duties
- Prepare and serve food to residents in our community
- Ensure all special dietary needs are met and preparing texture modified food as directed
- Ensure compliance with all record keeping, food safety and risk management requirements
- Train new kitchen aide and other staff on proper cooking routines and kitchen procedures
- Follow facility menu and maintain portion control as directed by dietitian
- Identify and develop new initiatives and areas of improvements to better serve our residents
- Order, receive, verify and sign for groceries and deliveries
- Maintain and appropriately handle facility food budgets
- Responsible for cleaning and maintenance of all kitchen equipment and dining room utensils, informing Administrator of any challenges or safety hazards
- Attend all monthly in-services and facility staff meetings obtaining proper documentation of each meeting or training
- Be fully aware of individual resident likes, dislikes and health restrictions
- Supervise food production for quality of products and service
- Prepare and enforce daily, weekly and monthly kitchen cleaning schedules to maintain compliance with safety and health restrictions
