Our organization values flexibility, adaptability, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving, making this a perfect opportunity for those who enjoy a dynamic work setting. The Kitchen Manager Floater will travel between assigned schools to manage daily food service activities, supervise kitchen staff, and uphold strict standards of food safety and quality. This position is integral to ensuring that all students receive timely, nutritious meals while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and company regulations.

The Kitchen Manager Floater role requires a proactive leader who can step into different kitchens with little notice, quickly assess the situation, and lead teams effectively. You will oversee food preparation, monitor inventory and supplies, manage schedules, and enforce health and sanitation standards in a variety of kitchen settings. This job not only demands strong organizational skills but also excellent communication abilities to foster positive relationships with staff and support a collaborative team environment across multiple locations.

The employment type for this position is full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional extended weeks. Candidates must be willing to travel daily between school sites, which highlights the need for reliable transportation and a flexible mindset. Although challenging, this role offers rewarding work that directly impacts student well-being and makes a measurable difference in school communities.

The ideal candidate will possess ServSafe certification or be willing to obtain it prior to starting, along with a proven track record of kitchen management. You should be comfortable working with point-of-sale systems and have basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting. A customer service mindset and experience working with children will help you thrive in this unique role. Physical requirements include the ability to stand for entire shifts and lift up to 50 pounds, reflecting the active nature of kitchen operations.

We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer, actively supporting diversity and inclusion, and participating in the E-Verify program to ensure employment eligibility.
