Job Description
Western Omelette is a family-owned restaurant located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, with a rich history spanning over 34 years. Known for its fast-paced environment and dedication to quality, Western Omelette has established itself as a beloved local breakfast and lunch destination. The restaurant prides itself on its strong community ties and consistent delivery of delicious meals that keep customers coming back. With a loyal customer base and a team of 27 employees, this establishment fosters an atmosphere of pride, teamwork, and commitment to excellence. The culture at Western Omelette emphasizes accountability, customer satisfaction, and a genuine passion for the culinary craft.
We are actively seeking a strong, hands-on Kitchen Manager who can lead our back-of-house team with excellence, accountability, and heart. This role goes beyond simply running kitchen operations; it involves building efficient systems, developing culinary talent, and maintaining the highest standards in food quality and service. Our Kitchen Manager will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen activities during service times, ensuring food quality, consistency, and timely order fulfillment. This includes order management, controlling food costs, minimizing waste, and creating daily preparation systems to streamline operations.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of kitchen leadership experience, preferably in high-volume settings, and possess keen knowledge of food cost control, labor management, and inventory systems. In addition to leading the kitchen crew with calm confidence during busy periods, the Kitchen Manager should adopt a coaching mindset, emphasizing growth and development among the line cooks and other kitchen staff. They will be expected to organize schedules efficiently, uphold food safety standards, conduct weekly inventories, and address performance issues promptly and professionally. This is a working leadership position, requiring hands-on involvement during rush hours to inspire teamwork and maintain operational excellence.
Western Omelette offers competitive wages tailored to experience, performance-based bonuses, and an opportunity to contribute significantly to a trusted local business. This role is perfect for someone passionate about culinary leadership, eager to make a direct impact on a family-run establishment’s success, and ready to bring structure, integrity, and motivation to the kitchen team. If you are driven to lead with pride and want to grow as part of a restaurant that values accountability and continuous improvement, we encourage you to apply today and become an integral part of Western Omelette's ongoing legacy.
