Job Description
Avanti's is a renowned restaurant known for its commitment to creating memorable dining experiences that go beyond just serving food. The establishment prides itself on its vibrant and energetic atmosphere, where guests are not only treated to exceptional meals but also to outstanding service that leaves lasting impressions. Avanti's is passionate about hospitality and values every guest as part of its extended family. The team at Avanti's consists of dedicated professionals ranging from seasoned cooks and talented servers to aspiring hosts and hostesses, all working together to shape the future of dining and make a difference in each guest's experience.
At Avanti's, the work environment is dynamic and focused on teamwork and excellence. The restaurant offers a salary starting at $45,000 to $50,000 along with comprehensive benefits that support the well-being of its employees. These benefits include dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, and medical insurance, with Avanti’s covering 50% of premiums for dental, vision, and medical insurance, and 100% for short and long term disability. The company also offers a flexible work schedule, albeit requiring weekend availability, career advancement opportunities, and free meals during working hours. Avanti's invests in its employees by fostering growth, offering continuous learning opportunities, and promoting an inclusive culture where everyone's contributions are valued.
The position available involves responsibility for the overall profitability, sanitation, and execution of the restaurant’s operations. This role requires strong leadership skills, as it involves engaging with staff and supervisors to ensure that kitchen execution and guest satisfaction meet the highest standards. The manager will assist with guest complaints from both the dining room and carry-out areas, ensuring a pleasant experience for all patrons. Another key responsibility is coordinating closely with the general manager to discuss sales, traffic, staffing goals, and any relevant operational issues. In addition, the role demands vigilant monitoring of building and equipment maintenance to guarantee that everything functions optimally and that any needed repairs are promptly addressed by the maintenance team.
To thrive in this role, candidates should possess at least two years of restaurant management experience. While a college degree is preferred, it is not mandatory if the applicant has significant leadership experience and a high school diploma. The ideal candidate will be extremely friendly, polite, and attentive to detail, with exceptional communication skills that facilitate the daily expectations for the staff to successfully meet their goals. The ability to coach and develop a diverse team, handle in-the-moment coaching in stressful environments, and maintain professionalism are essential qualities for success. Furthermore, the role requires candidates to comply with pre-employment requirements such as consenting to a background check and obtaining ServSafe Manager Certificate, Basset Certification, and Allergen Certificate within 30 days of hire. A valid driver’s license and insurance are also necessary.
Physical requirements include the capacity to work 50 plus hours weekly, stand for extended periods, lift and carry up to 40 pounds, and work with hot and cold food items. These expectations align with the challenging yet rewarding nature of managing a busy restaurant environment at Avanti's, where dedication and hard work are recognized and rewarded. If you are seeking a career path that combines leadership with a passion for hospitality and enjoy working in a supportive and energetic setting, Avanti's invites you to join their team and contribute to its continuing success.
