The Kitchen Manager role at Lucky Strike Entertainment is a unique position that combines culinary expertise with outstanding management skills. This role is crucial in maintaining the high standards of the nationally recognized food and beverage program. As the guardian of the kitchen's operations, the Kitchen Manager ensures that the menus come to life through quality, freshness, and presentation while efficiently managing kitchen staff and resources. This position involves overseeing food preparation, adhering to corporate purchasing programs, managing budgetary controls including revenue and cost of sales, and collaborating with various departments to orchestrate exceptional events. The Kitchen Manager is also responsible for maintaining all health and safety standards, conducting sanitation audits, and ensuring compliance with local Department of Health regulations.

In this fast-paced, high-volume retail entertainment environment, the Kitchen Manager will lead a team comprised of lead cooks, cooks, dishwashers, and servers. The role requires a high level of organizational skills, accountability, and interpersonal communication to foster a motivated and high-performing kitchen staff. Experience managing banquet-style events and catering is highly desirable, and candidates are expected to support the center's General Manager on all matters related to food and beverage operations. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three or more years of kitchen management experience
  • Current ServSafe certification
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume entertainment environment
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend for extended periods
  • Capability to lift objects with some assistance
  • Availability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Three or more years of kitchen management experience
  • Bachelor’s or culinary degree preferred
  • Experience in high-volume retail, entertainment, hospitality, or restaurant venue required
  • Experience preparing banquet style events
  • Current ServSafe certification required
  • ServSafe instructor certification or ability to be certified preferred
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to analyze and manage profit and loss statements

Job Duties

  • Adhere to the company’s mandated food and beverage menu and purchasing programs
  • Maintain budgeted revenue, costs of sales, labor, supplies, and operating cash flow related to food operations
  • Review monthly profit and loss statements and make adjustments as necessary
  • Work with operations and sales teams to plan, supervise, and execute all events
  • Assist with cooking during events when needed
  • Estimate food consumption and make appropriate purchases
  • Schedule staff efficiently to accommodate shifts in business volume
  • Recruit, hire, train, and retain kitchen staff
  • Ensure product quality, freshness, and presentation meet company standards
  • Supervise food preparation, portioning, garnishing, and storage
  • Manage kitchen equipment maintenance and conduct sanitation audits
  • Implement cleaning schedules complying with local Department of Health regulations
