We are currently seeking a proactive and experienced Kitchen Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in overseeing the day-to-day kitchen operations to ensure seamless culinary processes and high food quality. The Kitchen Manager will lead a diverse team of kitchen staff, promoting a collaborative and productive atmosphere while maintaining strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards. This position offers a salary range between $57,165 and $66,915, with a pay increase following the successful completion of training. The role requires someone with strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a deep understanding of kitchen management, food preparation techniques, and inventory control. The Kitchen Manager will work closely with other departments to help deliver memorable dining experiences that meet customer expectations. Job Requirements

  • Prior experience as a kitchen manager, sous chef, or related supervisory role in hospitality industry
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety regulations
  • Ability to manage budgets and control costs
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational abilities
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment and maintenance
  • Ability to lift 40lbs and stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop continuously in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a kitchen manager, sous chef, or similar supervisory role in a restaurant in the hospitality industry
  • In-depth knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary trends, food safety regulations, managing budgets, cost control and optimizing resources
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills to effectively manage a diverse kitchen team and collaborate with other departments
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Strong focus on accuracy and precision to ensure consistency and quality in every dish prepared
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively as part of a team, supporting and assisting colleagues as needed

Job Duties

  • Supervise, train, motivate and mentor kitchen staff utilizing positive leadership skills
  • Schedule and organize shifts to ensure adequate coverage and optimal productivity
  • Promote effective communication and teamwork among kitchen staff and other departments
  • Ensure adherence to standardized recipes, portion sizes, and food preparation techniques to maintain consistent food quality
  • Monitor food inventory levels, place orders, and manage food costs to maximize profitability
  • Conduct regular inspections of food products, equipment, and storage areas to maintain cleanliness, safety, and hygiene standards
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation processes to meet customer expectations and maintain timely service
