Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff
- Manage scheduling, daily assignments, and staffing levels
- Lead daily pre-service huddles
- Oversee daily kitchen operations including prep, service flow, cleaning, and equipment care
- Foster a positive, team-centered culture
- Order food and supplies to maintain stock and reduce waste
- Manage inventory using FIFO rotation and proper storage
- Monitor food costs and assist with budget management
- Coordinate with vendors for quality ingredients and deliveries
- Plan and prepare meals meeting nutritional and therapeutic diet requirements
- Collaborate with healthcare teams on dietary guidelines
- Guide staff on texture-modified diets
- Assist with seasonal menu updates
- Ensure compliance with food handling regulations
- Uphold ServSafe-level sanitation standards
- Monitor and coordinate equipment repairs
- Prepare for health inspections and implement corrective actions
- Conduct tastings and quality checks
- Support the team during peak meal periods
- Maintain clean, organized dining areas
- Implement dementia-supportive dining approaches
- Engage with residents for feedback
- Collaborate with care teams to promote dignity and safety
- Support staff in addressing eating challenges
- Communicate with families regarding dietary needs
- Support marketing and community events
- Promote a warm, service-focused atmosphere
