This Kitchen Manager role is based at United Regional Health in Wichita Falls, TX, where Aramark provides comprehensive food service management. The position primarily involves overseeing the kitchen’s daily operations to meet Aramark’s rigorous standards in food production, safety, and cost control. As Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for planning food production procedures, supervising a team of 20 to 25 employees, managing inventory and cost efficiencies, and ensuring top-tier food safety compliance. You will lead the design and implementation of menus in coordination with client and account managers, keeping current on industry trends and introducing new food offerings proactively.

The role demands strong leadership to cultivate a high-performing kitchen team, excellent communication skills to maintain seamless operations, and the ability to foster positive client relationships. Training and developing the kitchen staff through Aramark’s Job Skill Training and Review programs is a critical aspect, as is managing staffing, evaluating performance, and encouraging continuous professional growth. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • Culinary certificate preferred
  • Two to three years culinary experience in a high volume kitchen environment
  • Two to three years supervisory experience
  • Ability to lead and manage kitchen staff
  • Strong understanding of food safety and risk management procedures
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday schedule
  • Willingness to adhere to company policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary certificate preferred

  • Two to three years of culinary experience in a high volume kitchen environment
  • Two to three years of supervisory experience

Job Duties

  • Follow the implementation of ARAMARK Food Services program in accordance with standardized procedures
  • Carry out ARAMARK work procedures and processes including food safety system and risk management system
  • Design menu, prepare order and work out food production procedures as per client and account manager's requirement
  • Lead food production in kitchen ensuring standardized production flow with a focus on food safety and quality
  • Make purchasing plans for food materials, manage inventory and assist with cost control and waste reduction
  • Stay updated on catering industry trends and promote new menus and dishes proactively
  • Train and develop staff following ARAMARK Job Skill Training (JST) and Job Skill Review (JSR) programs
  • Maintain internal communication and collaboration for smooth kitchen operations
  • Establish good communication with clients to meet or exceed their requirements
  • Manage cook staffing, build team talent, evaluate cooking skills and conduct performance appraisals
