Job Description

Chick-fil-A Jefferson Pointe is a part of the nationally recognized Chick-fil-A brand, known for its high-quality chicken products and exceptional customer service. We are actively seeking a Kitchen Manager, referred to as a Team Leader, to join our dynamic team. This position commonly aligns with roles such as Assistant Manager, Shift Leader, or Lead in similar businesses. The Team Leader will support the Food Services Director by communicating, tracking, training, and coaching all back-of-house team members to achieve and surpass speed, service, and food safety goals. This role is critical for maintaining operational excellence while cultivating a positive workplace atmosphere in the kitchen, receiving, inventory, and food safety areas. As a Food Services Team Leader, you must be a motivated self-starter who works efficiently and leads by example. You will report directly to the Food Services Director, collaborate with fellow Team Leaders, manage shifts, and oversee team members in the back-of-house operations.

This full-time role averages 45 hours per week, typically scheduled from 2 pm to 11 pm Tuesday through Saturday, with Sundays and Mondays off. The pay is competitive and commensurate with experience, falling in the $45,000 to $50,000 range annually. Physical requirements include the ability to stand for up to 10 hours and lift weights up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.

Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 or older
  • 2+ years experience in leading others
  • Proven ability to lead a team of 10+ team members
  • Basic computer and iPad competency
  • Kitchen experience a plus, but not required
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position which includes, but is not limited to, standing for up to 10 hours and lifting up to 50lbs

Job Duties

  • Delivers a remarkable experience to all who come in contact with Chick-fil-A, both internal and external
  • Ensures the back of house is adequately scheduled to meet the needs of our guests
  • Serves as a leader, trainer, and mentor to the BOH team members on his/her team
  • Trains new food services team members and follows up to ensure they're equipped for success
  • Ensures Chick-fil-A policies and procedures are followed
  • Conducts one-on-one coaching sessions with team members, maintains a positive working relationship, and treats all employees with dignity, honor, and respect while holding them accountable for their individual responsibilities
  • Performs daily cleanliness, safety, and quality checks throughout all areas of the back of house
  • Responsible for inventory management and ensures the products are being rotated using the FIFO principle
  • Complete understanding of each key position in the back of the restaurant
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the brand and menu items
