The role of Kitchen Manager at Bubba's 33 is a leadership position responsible for overseeing all Back of House operations, including purchasing, receiving, preparation, and presentation of food products. This role demands a passion for quality scratch-made food and a dedication to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. The Kitchen Manager ensures that all food items are prepared according to established recipes and procedures, monitors food item ticket times for efficiency, and manages food costs to control waste and labor expenses.
In addition to operational duties, the Kitchen Manager plays a vital role in employee development by conducting performance evaluations, coaching staff, and providing daily feedback to key employees and assistant managers. This role requires overseeing the hiring process for Back of House employees and directing their work schedules and tasks. The Kitchen Manager also conducts formal line Taste & Temp checks, manages inventory and safety protocols, and ensures that all team members follow safe food handling procedures.

Job Requirements

- Previous kitchen management experience
- Knowledge of food safety standards
- Ability to manage and lead a team

Job Duties
- Supervising and overseeing the production and preparation of food in a manner consistent with established recipes and procedures
- Enforcing compliance with all employment policies and overseeing cleanliness and safety
- Directing productivity to monitor and maintain efficient and effective food item ticket times
- Managing performance of Back of House employees, including evaluations, coaching, and discipline
- Assisting with employee development through daily feedback and one-on-ones
- Conducting formal line Taste & Temp checks and managing inventory and safety
- Overseeing handling, maintenance, and storage of all items
- Managing food costs, tracking waste, and controlling kitchen labor costs
- Directing Back of House employees' work schedules and tasks
- Training employees on equipment maintenance and cleaning procedures
- Reviewing applications, interviewing, and hiring Back of House employees
- Creating a safe, fun, and clean work environment consistent with core values
