The company is currently seeking a dedicated Kitchen Manager to join their team. This role is crucial to maintaining the high-quality culinary and operational standards that the Old Spaghetti Factory is known for. The Kitchen Manager is responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring that the culinary process runs smoothly and efficiently. The position offers a competitive salary range from $60,255 to $70,655, with a pay increase available after successful completion of a training period.

In this role, the Kitchen Manager will supervise, train, and motivate the kitchen staff while fostering a culture of positive leadership. Job Requirements

  • Prior experience as a kitchen manager, sous chef, or similar supervisory role
  • In-depth knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety regulations
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment and troubleshooting
  • Ability to lift 40lbs and stand, walk, reach, bend, and stoop continuously in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a kitchen manager, sous chef, or similar supervisory role in a restaurant in the hospitality industry
  • In-depth knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary trends, food safety regulations, managing budgets, cost control and optimizing resources
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills to effectively manage a diverse kitchen team and collaborate with other departments
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Strong focus on accuracy and precision to ensure consistency and quality in every dish prepared
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Supervise, train, motivate and mentor kitchen staff utilizing positive leadership skills
  • Schedule and organize shifts to ensure adequate coverage and optimal productivity
  • Promote effective communication and teamwork among kitchen staff and other departments
  • Ensure adherence to standardized recipes, portion sizes, and food preparation techniques to maintain consistent food quality
  • Monitor food inventory levels, place orders, and manage food costs to maximize profitability
  • Conduct regular inspections of food products, equipment, and storage areas to maintain cleanliness, safety, and hygiene standards
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation processes to meet customer expectations and maintain timely service
  • Ensure health and safety regulations, including food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety protocols are achieved
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, invoices, and receipts to facilitate accounting and financial reporting
  • Establish and maintain relationships with food suppliers and negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery schedules
