Job Description

Dog Haus is a renowned fast-casual restaurant brand specializing in hand-crafted all-beef hot dogs and sausages made without added nitrates, 100% Black Angus beef burgers, and unique fried chicken creations. All their meats are hormone- and antibiotic-free, served on King’s Hawaiian rolls, a distinct offering that has earned the brand critical acclaim and national attention. The restaurants pride themselves on pairing these gourmet foods with carefully curated craft beers from taps focusing on local favorites, alongside signature cocktails and indulgent dessert options like premium shakes and soft-serve ice cream. Open daily for lunch and dinner, Dog Haus offers guests the choice to enjoy their signature Haus creations or customize dishes with an extensive array of unique toppings. Founded in 2010 in Pasadena, California by partners Hagop Giragossian, Quasim Riaz, and Andre Vener, the brand thrives on creativity, quality, and a firm commitment to community that shapes every aspect of their operation.

The Kitchen Manager role at Dog Haus is a pivotal leadership position focused on ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and operational excellence across the kitchen’s back-of-house functions. The ideal candidate will be a driven, organized professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and values team development as much as delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role entails overseeing all kitchen operations, including staffing, scheduling, ordering, inventory management, and maintaining rigorous food safety and sanitation standards. As a leader, you will develop and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a positive culture that aligns with Dog Haus’s company values. Collaboration with store leadership is essential to control food costs, reduce waste, and improve restaurant performance while sustaining a clean, efficient kitchen environment.

Key responsibilities include managing opening and closing kitchen procedures, ensuring consistent food preparation to brand standards, and maintaining product levels through accurate ordering and inventory controls. The Kitchen Manager must be adept at minimizing food waste through optimal prep, storage, and rotation practices alongside enforcing strict adherence to all safety and cleanliness protocols. Effective communication with front-of-house leadership is crucial to enhance the overall guest experience and operational flow. This role demands a hands-on approach, stepping in as necessary during busy periods to support the team and drive successful service. Candidates must exhibit reliability, strong organizational skills, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities under pressure. This full-time position requires flexibility in availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, and candidates must be at least 21 years old. Joining Dog Haus means becoming part of a dynamic company known for its passion for quality food and vibrant team culture, offering an excellent opportunity to grow within the hospitality industry.
