The role of Kitchen Manager at Bubba's 33 is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing all operations related to the Back of House. This includes managing the purchasing, receiving, preparation, and presentation of all food products according to established recipes and procedures. Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior kitchen supervisory experience
  • strong understanding of food preparation and safety standards
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • capability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
  • good interpersonal and leadership skills
  • availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights

  • Proven experience in kitchen management or a similar role

Job Duties

  • Supervising and overseeing the production and preparation of food in a manner consistent with established recipes and procedures
  • enforcing compliance with employment policies and overseeing cleanliness and safety of the restaurant
  • directing productivity to monitor and maintain efficient and effective food item ticket times
  • managing performance of Back of House employees including evaluations, coaching, and discipline
  • assisting with development of key employees and providing daily feedback
  • conducting formal line taste and temperature checks
  • overseeing proper handling, maintenance, and storage of all items
  • understanding and practicing safe food handling procedures
  • managing food costs, tracking waste, and controlling kitchen labor costs
  • directing work for Back of House employees including scheduling and task assignment
  • training employees on equipment maintenance and cleaning
  • reviewing applications, interviewing, and making hiring recommendations
  • creating a safe, fun, and clean work environment consistent with core values and operational goals
