Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 3 years experience in kitchen management or similar role
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities
  • physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
  • passion for made-from-scratch food and commitment to quality
  • valid food handler certification preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in kitchen or restaurant management
  • strong leadership and team development skills
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • ability to manage food costs and labor budgets
  • excellent communication and organizational skills
  • experience with staff training and performance evaluation
  • familiarity with inventory management and purchasing processes

Job Duties

  • Supervising and overseeing the production and preparation of food in accordance with established recipes and procedures
  • enforcing compliance with employment policies and maintaining restaurant cleanliness and guest safety
  • directing productivity to monitor and maintain efficient food item ticket times
  • managing performance of Back of House employees including evaluations, coaching, and discipline
  • assisting with the development of key employees by providing daily feedback during one-on-ones
  • conducting formal line taste and temperature checks to ensure inventory and kitchen safety
  • overseeing proper handling, maintenance, and storage of all kitchen items
  • understanding and practicing safe food handling procedures
  • managing food costs, waste tracking, and kitchen labor costs
  • directing work for Back of House staff including scheduling and task assignments
  • training Back of House employees on equipment maintenance and cleaning
  • reviewing applications, interviewing, and recommending or hiring Back of House employees
  • creating a safe, fun, and clean work environment consistent with core values and operational goals
