The role of Kitchen Manager at Texas Roadhouse is integral to maintaining the high standards of their back-of-house operations. As a Kitchen Manager, you will oversee all aspects of food production, from purchasing and receiving inventory to preparing and presenting food in accordance with established recipes and company procedures. Job Duties

  • Supervising and overseeing the production and preparation of food in a manner consistent with established recipes and procedures
  • enforcing compliance with all employment policies and overseeing cleanliness and safety of the restaurant
  • directing productivity to monitor and maintain efficient food item ticket times
  • managing performance of back of house employees including evaluations, coaching, and discipline
  • assisting with development of key employees and providing daily feedback
  • conducting line taste and temperature checks to ensure inventory and kitchen safety
  • overseeing proper handling, maintenance, and storage of all items
  • understanding and practicing safe food handling procedures
  • managing food costs, tracking waste, and controlling kitchen labor costs
  • directing work for back of house employees including scheduling and tasks
  • training employees on equipment maintenance and cleaning procedures
  • reviewing applications, interviewing, and hiring or recommending hiring of back of house employees
  • creating a safe, fun, and clean work environment consistent with core values and goals
