Job Requirements

  • Two to three years management experience in restaurant operations
  • Degree program completion or equivalent experience in business or hospitality
  • Completion of Golden Corral's management training
  • Certification as Kitchen Manager within six months
  • Valid driver's license
  • Acceptable driving record

Job Qualifications

  • Two to three years management experience in high volume restaurant with diversified menu offerings
  • Education and/or experience normally associated with business or hospitality degree
  • Successful completion of Golden Corral's comprehensive management training program
  • Certified Kitchen Manager certification within six months of assignment
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

Job Duties

  • Achieves excellent food quality by ensuring Back-of-the-House and production Co-Workers properly prepare recipes to Golden Corral specifications and follow build-to's for excellent execution
  • Ensures Back-of-the-House and production Co-workers follow menu matrix and achieve productivity standards
  • Meets budgeted food, labor and controllable costs through effective planning and scheduling
  • Meets all productivity labor standards for Back-of-the-House and production positions
  • Achieves company standards for products, recipes, cleanliness and service times
  • Ensures compliance with health and sanitation standards and company policies including the Code of Ethics
  • Controls food costs by ordering, receiving, storing and producing products according to specifications
  • Maintains food product inventory per Golden Corral guidelines
  • Takes inventories and reports small wares order requirements
  • Ensures standards for preventive maintenance on kitchen equipment
  • Recruits, interviews and hires Back-of-the-House and production staff
  • Trains and coaches Coordinators, Managers, Crew Leaders, Trainers and A-Team on standards
  • Ensures all Back-of-the-House and production staff are trained and certified through CBT and Fast Tracks
  • Cross-trains staff in multiple positions
  • Conducts performance appraisals and disciplinary counseling
  • Holds daily pre-shift meetings with Back-of-the-House and production staff
  • Operates motor vehicle within local market as needed for operations or meetings
