Job Requirements

  • Must be able to stand and work on feet for extended periods
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, and reach
  • comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-heat kitchen environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • minimum of 1-2 years cooking experience in a professional kitchen
  • country club, resort, or fine dining experience preferred
  • knowledge of basic culinary techniques and kitchen safety
  • ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team
  • reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor
  • ServSafe Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, portion controls, and quality standards
  • maintain a clean and organized workstation during and after service
  • execute food preparation for service including chopping vegetables, butchering meat, and preparing sauces
  • operate kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, slicers, and mixers safely and properly
  • collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and quality food service
  • follow proper food handling and sanitation standards at all times
  • assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food inventory
  • communicate effectively with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service
  • support special events, member functions, and seasonal menus as required
  • maintain compliance with all health and safety regulations and club policies
