The role of the Kitchen Line Cook at Dave & Buster's is critical in maintaining the high standards of food quality that the brand is known for. The Kitchen Line Cook is responsible not only for food preparation but also for maintaining a clean and organized workstation in compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations. This role demands a professional attitude and the ability to efficiently manage time during busy shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
As a Kitchen Line Cook, you will work closely with other kitchen staff and service team members to ensure timely delivery of orders and a smooth flow of operations. You will also participate in inventory management, including proper storage and rotation of food items, and help maintain kitchen equipment by reporting malfunctions quickly. This position requires physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds routinely. Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude in a fast-paced environment
- Be available to work various shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Work effectively in a high-energy, noisy environment with distractions
- Understand and follow written and verbal instructions including recipes and safety procedures
- Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Stand and move throughout the kitchen for extended periods
- Frequently reach, bend, stoop, kneel, and lift to handle food, equipment, and supplies
- Use hands and arms to operate kitchen equipment and perform tasks requiring fine motor skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous kitchen or food preparation experience is beneficial
- Ability to follow detailed recipes and instructions
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Strong time management and organizational skills

Job Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to Dave & Buster's recipes and quality standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work station adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Inform immediate supervisor of operational issues or unusual circumstances and suggest solutions
- Manage time efficiently to ensure timely food preparation and delivery
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines accurately to minimize waste and maintain cost efficiency
- Assist with inventory management including proper storage and rotation of food items
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently and report any malfunctions promptly
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and work areas including washing dishes and utensils
- Assist in receiving and storing food deliveries ensuring accuracy and quality
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and service team members to ensure smooth service
- Support fellow team members to maintain a positive and productive environment
- Foster positive and cooperative relationships with all team members to promote an enjoyable atmosphere
- Must be at least 18 years of age
