Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • proven work experience in a kitchen environment
  • ability to work full-time hours including evenings and weekends
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to manage and train kitchen staff
  • knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
  • physical ability to perform kitchen duties

Job Qualifications

  • proven work experience as a line cook or kitchen lead
  • hands-on experience with planning menus and ordering ingredients
  • knowledge of a wide range of recipes
  • familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations
  • excellent organizational skills
  • ability to operate in a fast-paced work environment
  • available to work during evenings and weekends

Job Duties

  • work the line in a dynamic environment
  • food prep and cooking, cleaning kitchen equipment
  • check food plating and temperature
  • establish portion sizes
  • price menu items in collaboration with the General Manager
  • train additional kitchen staff on prep work and food plating techniques
  • store food products in compliance with safety practices (e.g. in refrigerators)
  • keep weekly and monthly food waste reports, follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and maintenance procedures
  • maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area
