Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a restaurant setting
- Ability to understand and communicate effectively in the primary language(s) of the work location
- Ability to work on feet for extended periods
- Capacity to follow detailed kitchen procedures
- Strong teamwork and leadership abilities
- Willingness to learn and adapt to Chipotle's values and practices
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous restaurant experience
- Ability to understand and articulate Chipotle's Food With Integrity philosophy
- Strong communication skills in the primary language(s) of the work location
- Leadership skills with the ability to train and develop team members
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to maintaining food safety and sanitation standards
Job Duties
- Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping food to order, and following kitchen procedures
- Monitor food waste and inventory levels, and resolve food quality issues
- Support a strong team dynamic between back of house and front of house crew
- Develop crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders
- Communicate with crew members and customers effectively to ensure great customer service and throughput
- Ensure the kitchen is properly cleaned and sanitized
- Monitor kitchen equipment and ensure it is kept in good repair
- Make sure malfunctioning equipment is repaired as quickly as possible
- Ensure the kitchen and all crew members meet necessary safety guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents
- Fill out Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and Inventory Rotation (FIFO)
