The position of Kitchen Leader at Chipotle is a dynamic leadership role that plays a critical part in delivering high-quality food and excellent customer experiences. As a Kitchen Leader, you will be at the heart of food preparation, responsible for grilling meats, sautéing vegetables, and ensuring all dishes meet Chipotle’s rigorous food standards. This role involves not only hands-on food production but also managing inventory, monitoring food waste, and maintaining kitchen safety and sanitation protocols. Additionally, you will lead by example, training and developing other crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders, thereby nurturing a skilled and motivated team. The Kitchen Leader acts as a critical link between the back-of-house operations and the front-of-house crew to maintain a strong, collaborative environment focused on teamwork and operational excellence. The role demands a proactive attitude, physical stamina to handle a busy and fast-paced kitchen, and a commitment to Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy. Job Duties

  • Ensuring food quality by cooking and prepping food to order and following kitchen procedures
  • Monitoring food waste and inventory levels and resolving food quality issues
  • Supporting a strong team dynamic between back of house crew and front of house crew
  • Developing crew members to be future kitchen leaders
  • Communicating with crew members and customers effectively to ensure great customer service and throughput
  • Ensuring the kitchen is properly cleaned and sanitized
  • Monitoring kitchen equipment and ensuring it is kept in good repair and making sure malfunctioning equipment is repaired as quickly as possible
