Job Description

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. is a renowned fast-casual restaurant chain dedicated to cultivating a better world by serving responsibly sourced, classically cooked, real food made with wholesome ingredients, without artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Established with a mission to innovate and lead the food industry, Chipotle continues to grow its footprint with locations across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. Unique in its approach, Chipotle owns and operates all its restaurants across North America and Europe, setting a high bar for quality control, sustainability, and customer experience. With a strong emphasis on ethical sourcing, technology integration, and digital advancements, the company is a leader in sustainable business practices and is unwavering in its commitment to making better food accessible to everyone.

Within this dynamic and values-driven environment, the role of Kitchen Leader at Chipotle represents a compelling opportunity for motivated individuals passionate about food quality and team development. As a Kitchen Leader, you will be deeply involved in the preparation of Chipotle's signature menu items including grilling meats and sautéing vegetables, ensuring that every dish meets the highest standards of flavor and safety. You will supervise kitchen operations, maintaining cleanliness, organization, and proper stock levels, while also managing kitchen equipment to uphold operational excellence. This position is not only about food preparation; it’s also a critical leadership role that involves training and mentoring crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders, thereby fostering a strong team culture. The Kitchen Leader is often the role model for the back-of-house crew, encouraging teamwork, promoting best practices in food safety, and ensuring the kitchen environment is both productive and enjoyable.

The position is full-time with competitive pay ranging from $16.90 to $18.81 per hour plus eligibility for digital tips, reflecting skill level, experience, and education. Beyond compensation, Chipotle offers a rich suite of benefits including 100% tuition coverage for select degrees or up to $5,250 per year, free meals, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, holiday closures, and opportunities for career advancement, with 80% of managers having started as crew members. Chipotle also fosters an inclusive workplace culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion at every level, providing reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. By joining Chipotle as a Kitchen Leader, you become part of a forward-thinking company that is continually learning, evolving, and shaping the future of fast food with a strong commitment to ethical values and community impact.
