Job Description
Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (NYSE: CMG) is a revolutionary fast-casual restaurant chain committed to cultivating a better world with every meal. Recognized as a leader and innovator in the food industry, Chipotle has redefined the fast-food experience by offering responsibly sourced, classically cooked, real food made from wholesome ingredients without artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. The company operates extensively across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, making it a significant player in the global food market. Unique in its approach, Chipotle owns and operates all its restaurants in North America and Europe, ensuring consistent quality and customer experience across its locations. Beyond just food, Chipotle is strongly devoted to sustainability, digital and technological innovation, and advancing equitable business practices. It embraces a people-first culture driven by values that champion diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace. This commitment extends throughout all organizational levels, encouraging qualified applicants from diverse backgrounds to pursue rewarding careers with the company. Chipotle also supports employees with reasonable accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act to foster a truly inclusive environment.
The opportunity of becoming a Kitchen Leader at Chipotle offers a meaningful step into the fast-casual dining world with a blend of culinary craftsmanship and leadership. As a Kitchen Leader, you will be at the heart of ensuring that the food served lives up to Chipotle’s high-quality standards. Your role is integral in preparing food meticulously by grilling meats, sautéing vegetables, and assembling dishes that not only taste great but embody the company’s Food With Integrity philosophy. You will be responsible for ordering, training, and mentoring crew members to develop their skills, empower team dynamics, and advance as future Kitchen Leaders. This role demands hands-on involvement, maintaining kitchen cleanliness and organization, monitoring stocks, and making sure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained to facilitate smooth operations. The Kitchen Leader is a role model on the floor, fostering a strong team dynamic between front-of-house and back-of-house crew to enhance the overall customer experience.
Working as a Kitchen Leader at Chipotle means being constantly engaged and on your feet, driving the quality and safety of every meal while cultivating an environment that prioritizes teamwork and customer satisfaction. You are entrusted with responsibilities that include following safety protocols, ensuring clean and sanitized working environments, and dealing with inventory and food waste management. Beyond these duties, the position focuses on professional development, offering a chance to grow within a company where the majority of managers come from crew-level roles. Chipotle offers competitive compensation along with a range of benefits including tuition assistance, comprehensive health coverage, paid time off, and a healthy workplace culture with holiday closures. Joining Chipotle means not only contributing to a better world through food but also growing a career in a company committed to sustainability, innovation, and social responsibility.
