Job Description

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (NYSE: CMG) is a globally recognized fast-casual restaurant chain known for its commitment to serving responsibly sourced, classically cooked, real food made with wholesome ingredients free from artificial colors, flavors, and preservatives. Established as a leader and innovator in the food industry, Chipotle operates restaurants across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. Unlike many competitors, Chipotle owns and operates all of its restaurants in North America and Europe, ensuring quality control and consistency across its locations. The company is driven by a purposeful mission to make better food accessible to everyone while embracing sustainable business practices, digital innovation, and technological advancements to enhance the customer experience.

Chipotle fosters a people-first culture rooted in strong values that extend beyond providing nutritious food. Diversity, equity, and inclusion are pillars of the company’s hiring and operational philosophy, championing a workplace where world-class individuals thrive regardless of their personal characteristics. Those interested in supporting this mission and joining a team passionate about reshaping the future of fast food are encouraged to apply.

The opportunity available is for the role of Kitchen Leader. This position serves as a critical part of Chipotle’s operational excellence, focusing on preparing delicious, high-quality food while ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient kitchen environment. As a Kitchen Leader, you will gain hands-on experience learning to grill meats, sauté vegetables, and prepare meals that uphold the company’s Food With Integrity philosophy. Beyond food preparation, Kitchen Leaders are responsible for managing kitchen inventory, monitoring food quality and waste, and maintaining kitchen equipment. This role is pivotal in mentoring and developing Crew members, preparing them to become future Kitchen Leaders, thereby contributing to the company’s leadership pipeline and operational success.

A Kitchen Leader embodies teamwork and customer service, actively supporting both back-of-house and front-of-house teams to deliver an exceptional guest experience. While working on the floor, Kitchen Leaders stay engaged by meeting station goals, identifying tasks that need completion, and assisting teammates as needed. The position requires vigilance in ensuring cleanliness, sanitation, and adherence to safety protocols to create a secure work environment. This role is ideal for individuals with restaurant experience who have a high school diploma and are eager to develop leadership skills and grow with a company recognized for its dynamic work culture and commitment to career advancement.

Chipotle offers competitive compensation alongside a comprehensive benefits package that includes tuition assistance, free food, medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, holiday closures, digital tips, and ample opportunities for advancement. Approximately 80 percent of Chipotle’s managers began their careers as Crew members, showcasing the company’s commitment to internal growth. Chipotle’s Kitchen Leader role provides a unique chance to be part of an influential brand dedicated to redefining fast food by focusing on quality, integrity, and sustainability.
