Job Description

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. is a pioneering fast-casual restaurant chain known for transforming the typical fast-food experience into something much more wholesome and responsible. Founded on a mission to cultivate a better world, Chipotle has revolutionized the fast-food industry by prioritizing food quality, sustainability, and ethical sourcing. This restaurant chain operates a network of restaurants across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. Unlike many competitors, Chipotle owns and operates all of its locations in North America and Europe, allowing for greater control over food quality and operational standards. Chipotle is more than just a restaurant - it is a movement focused on serving responsibly sourced, classically cooked, real food made without artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. With a commitment to digital innovation, sustainability, and creating more accessible food options for all, the company stands as a leader and innovator in the food industry.

The role of a Kitchen Leader at Chipotle is a dynamic and vital position within the restaurant. As a Kitchen Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring that the food served is delicious, prepared safely, and consistently meets Chipotle’s high standards. This role not only focuses on food preparation but also leadership within the kitchen team. Kitchen Leaders learn how to prepare great food, master grilling meats, and sauté vegetables while maintaining strict adherence to food safety and quality procedures. They take on key responsibilities including ordering supplies, training and mentoring crew members, and ensuring the kitchen is clean, organized, and well-stocked. Being a Kitchen Leader means setting an example by promoting teamwork and a positive work environment that translates into excellent customer service. The position is active and fast-paced, requiring a proactive approach to accomplishing goals, supporting teammates, and maintaining equipment. This is an opportunity to grow within the company, as many managers and leaders started their Chipotle careers as Crew members.

Chipotle offers comprehensive benefits including tuition assistance with up to 100% coverage for select degrees or up to $5,250 per year, free food while on shift, medical, dental, and vision insurance, digital tips, paid time off, holiday closures, competitive pay, and numerous advancement opportunities. Chipotle is a people-first company deeply committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, fostering a culture where all employees can thrive and contribute to the company’s mission to cultivate a better world through better food. The company is an equal opportunity employer and strongly encourages applications from all qualified individuals regardless of personal characteristics. Accessibility accommodations are available to ensure everyone has the opportunity to participate fully in the hiring process.
