Chipotle is currently looking for a Kitchen Leader to join its dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring that every meal prepared meets Chipotle’s high standards for quality and safety. As a Kitchen Leader, you will learn to prepare great food, including grilling meats and sautéing vegetables, and become proficient in kitchen procedures. You will not only be responsible for maintaining the taste and consistency of the food but also oversee the kitchen’s cleanliness, organization, and inventory management. A Kitchen Leader also plays a key role in training and developing other crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders, creating a positive and productive team environment. This role requires a hands-on approach, as you will be active on the kitchen floor, managing your station, supporting teammates, and promoting excellent teamwork and customer service. Job Duties
- Ensuring food quality by cooking and prepping food to order and following kitchen procedures
- monitoring food waste and inventory levels and resolving food quality issues
- supporting a strong team dynamic between back of house crew and front of house crew
- developing crew members to be future kitchen leaders
- communicating with crew members and customers effectively to ensure great customer service and throughput
- ensuring the kitchen is properly cleaned and sanitized
- monitoring kitchen equipment and ensuring it is kept in good repair and making sure malfunctioning equipment is repaired as quickly as possible
