Job Duties

  • Prepare ingredients for cooking by portioning, chopping, and storing food
  • wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables, weigh, measure, and mix ingredients
  • cook food according to recipes and adhere to quality and presentation standards
  • operate kitchen equipment safely, such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
  • monitor and test food for quality and ensure proper cooking temperatures
  • prepare cold foods and maintain a clean and organized workstation
  • serve food in proper portions and ensure cleanliness of kitchen areas and equipment
