Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 4 years of experience in a high-volume commercial or institutional kitchen
- Clean driving record and reliable transportation
- Valid Food Handler's Card
- Ability to work well in a team setting and provide leadership support when needed
- Able to multitask, take initiative, and work independently when necessary
- Sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties
- Assist in ensuring all health, safety, and sanitation regulations are consistently followed
- Support the Kitchen Manager in maintaining a deep cleaning schedule to ensure a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment
- Help coordinate the daily cleaning and upkeep of kitchen equipment, tools, and food prep areas
- Provide guidance and support to kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and proper sanitation practices
- Prepare all food items as directed, ensuring quality, portion control, and presentation standards are met
- Create and follow standardized recipes and plating guidelines to maintain consistency in taste and appearance
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to proper usage protocols
- Maintain accurate inventory records and communicate supply needs to the Kitchen Manager in a timely manner
- Ensure all food items are properly labeled, stored, and rotated according to food safety guidelines and best practices
- Uphold all local, state, and federal food safety standards and production codes
- Assist with onboarding and ongoing training of new and current kitchen staff as directed by the Kitchen Manager
- Support with meal deliveries or distribution when needed
